I’m sharing April’s thrift haul a little late because I’ve been busting my butt trying to wrap up my day job two months early because, tomorrow, I go under the knife. (pause for dramatic effect) Before you comment, “It’s about time she took care of ____,” let me clarify, it’s about the least glamorous surgery ever – bunions. (She said, feeling 110 years old.) Aside from pain relief, I hope for a couple other outcomes: the ability to wear cute shoes and enjoy long thrifting sprees in comfort! (I’m all about meaningful occupations) So there will be a little break on The Spirited Thrifter until I feel up to it. I’ll probably do some complaining posts on Twitter and Instagram so follow along there if you’re interested in one thrifter’s experience of foot surgery! Meanwhile, here is a recap of how I blew spent my April budget! I already shared some of the pieces when discussing my thrifting process, but *of course* I didn’t stop there…

In summary…
- Striped tank $4.20
- Polka dot blouse $4
- Turquoise top $8
- Anthro lily skirt $4.90
- Denim shorts $6.30
- Denim midi skirt $5
- Red skirt $11
- Anthro maxi skirt $10
- Vintage orange dress $5.60
- Vintage floral dress $8
- Silver flats S7.70
- Copper cuff S2.80
- Leopard scarf $2.80
- TOTAL: $80.30 WHATTTTTTTT???
Sigh. Totally blew my $50 budget and zero excuses available. So I’m just going to go to bed and ponder whether this will even out somehow in the next month when I’ll be laid up and unable to thrift?!!!

But you can thrift online!
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Good luck and speedy recovery! !!
This surgery will make you life so much better. Lots of years ahead to run and play with your children. Trust me, people will always be looking at your beautiful eyes and your loving smile before they notice cute shoes. A smile completes an outfit more than shoes do.
Best of luck with the surgery and hope for a quick recovery!
Surprise! No surgery after all, cancelled at the last minute (after waiting in a gown for hours) U0001f610. I trust in God’s timing but might need a little wine and thrift to cope with the stress! U0001f377
May God grant you speedy recovery and satisfaction with the outcome from
surgery. Please don’t be away from the blog too long, I will miss
you! You are such an encouragement, and I actually used your post tips
on thrifting today to leave behind many gorgeous pieces that my closet
really did not need to make welcome. I did get two cute skirts for
summer–my downfall every time. Let us know how things progress as you
recover your health. Thanks.
Lol! You’ll totally make up for it next month. And if not, you’ll have forgotten about it the month after that anyway! 😉 I’m here to help! 😉 My very favourite is the red and teal combo. Love the colour combo and love the pieces you put together! ❤️
Rose by His Grace Thank you so much! I will just transfer all these well wishes and prayers to May 19th when (hopefully) things will go forward. I’m thrilled to hear you found my thrifting tips helpful (though I can certainly relate to having a skirt-downfall!!). Skirts are my plan for recovery-outfits! So surely I could use a couple more! 😀
Kimberly T I like your logic Kim. Thanks for the compliment too – that skirt reminds me of a Kim skirt! 😉
