This is going to come as a shock, so sit down. Yesterday, when I wore an all-black outfit to mark the end of Black Out Style 2016, I didn’t take a single photo of my outfit. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO? Anyhoo, at least one of my teammates (and by that I mean colleagues since we all know I’m not referring to sports) complimented my all-black outfit which was nice though I did have a 30-second identity crisis that went something like this:
What does she mean ‘black suits me?’ I just finished a month of no black and it such a non issue it’s not even hard any more. Am I not known for being colourful?!! Do I even look good in colour? Did she compliment a colourful outfit? I can’t remember. January was ages ago. Just because movie stars wear black doesn’t mean I have to. I need a red scarf. This is baloney. I used to like baloney. I haven’t had baloney in a long time. Processed meat isn’t good for you. I want a cookie. I love cookies. I love colour. Black is good too. People are nice. I love my team. Where’s my cookie?
And so on. I survived the no photo day and went on to mix black and white prints today LIKE A MACHINE!
Not one, not two but THREE black & white prints makes for a much more interesting outfit than simply pairing a black or white piece with any of the three pieces in this ensemble.

This time, I kept my accessories neutral but next time I’d try a bold pop of colour!
