I absolutely loved the post “24 Things Women Over 30 Should Wear” by Warning: Curves Ahead and I just happened to read it on a day I wore a dress that was probably meant for a woman half my age…

American Eagle acid wash chambray dress WITH POCKETS, thrifted for $9.10.
American Eagle acid wash chambray dress WITH POCKETS, thrifted for $9.10.  Hispanitas shoes $3.50, sunnies $2.50 plus She Does Create earrings.

But I don’t care.  Is it a bit short for a 42-year-old woman?  Don’t care.  Is acid wash for twenty-somethings?  Don’t care.  Is American Eagle a youth brand?  Don’t care.

Is it a little wrinkly from sitting with my foot elevated most of the day? Don't care.

I love this dress because it evokes this:

I belong in Greece right now, I'm pretty sure.
Pretty sure I should be recovering by the Greek sea…

But I’ll settle for the Alberta prairies in summer!  What a gorgeous day!

Should you “dress your age?”  Absolutely not.  What does that even mean?!  Ladies, wear whatever you feel good in, whatever makes you happy – that’s how we express our true style!

I love it, and I don’t think there is such a thing as “dress your age”. 🙂

Someone once told me you can’t beat the man who doesn’t care.
I’d like to adapt it that you can’t dictate to a bargains lists who doesn’t care. Haha

Wow, love the dress!  The blues and white combination is catching my eye and style this summer too.  Thank you for “modeling” the attitude of dressing to reveal our inner self and being courageous to own our own style and not be pleasers of others.  You look incredible!  Glad that you are recovering nicely from surgery.
