In case you haven’t noticed, it is December FIFTEENTH.  That’s halfway through the month, past the point of no return, no catching up.  Is it just me, or is this particular December flying by?  I LOVE December – I get a break from work, I have time with my kids, I celebrate the birth of Christ, I spend time with family and friends, and I wear dresses all month long.  Dressember is not just about wearing dresses – it’s an international movement that raises awareness about and money to fight against human trafficking, and to advocate for freedom for all people.  And here’s the part where I suck: this year, I wasn’t keen on participating in Dressember.  I was away from home for the first four days of the month and forgot to pack enough dresses…. but lo and behold there was a pop-up sample sale at my hotel and I bought (without realizing it, prior to December 1st) just enough dresses to tide me over.  A divine dress nudge?!  I think so.

December 1st…
December 2nd…
December 3rd…

I returned home just in time for a FREEZING cold spell – we’re talking 8 days of indoor recess combined with a full moon.  Armageddon, people.  Each day, I choose out my dress, choose out my tights/leggings, my scarf, my boots and just haven’t been that inspired, if I’m being honest.  I am swamped by work and Christmas preparations, I didn’t have time to go thrifting with my gal Adina for Tuesday Night Thrift and haven’t captured all my OOTD on camera….

December 6th… (December 4 and 5th were good outfits, I promise, but they’re like the old days where you didn’t take a picture of your outfit every day.)  Notice how the tree is up but not decorated at this point – WAY LATE for my liking.

Does all this sound like a lot of first world whining to you, because it sure does to me.  For every day that I’m a little uncomfortable and a little cold in my dress, I know that there are women in dire circumstances who will benefit from the 1.5 million dollars raised by women wearing dresses even when they don’t feel like it.

December 7th at a staff retreat. I got paid to learn and hang out with my work peeps. Feeling a little shameful right about now…
December 8th… tree decorated and reminiscing about my first real date with my hubby on this day back in 1997.  Also happy bday to my big sis!  xoxoxo
December 9th… can’t even remember which dress I was wearing under my cozy thrifted coat.
December 10th day time look… and for the night-time look, venture on over to the Madmen Party!
December 11th, wearing my velvet dress over leggings for my small group Christmas party. You can basically call us Small Group Charlie’s Angels.
December 12th options… I went with B on the right!
December 13th, another Red Day at school.
You CAN do anything in a dress!
December 14th… a blah outfit for a crazy busy day, but I got to wear a great scarf and extol the virtues of OT to a new audience, so all good.
Et voila, December 15th!
December 15th second OOTD featuring a purple dress, purple coat, purple print scarf….
