This week’s Tuesday Try is all about NOT saving “special” pieces for special days but wearing them on an ordinary day to make it special!  I believe in this notion, yet I still find myself “saving” things – clothing, wine, recipes and more.  For example, I got this Maggie Walt lace and silk top in the summer and haven’t worn it till now!

Silly me!  What was I waiting for?! Regular retail price was $175 – I paid $3!  Hall of fame!
Nude Simply Vera Wang shell $2.50, pink Banana Republic crops $5, Kate Spade loafers $9.80, She Does Create coral pendant and earrings plus other accessories from my collection.

This top is so beautiful. We are lucky to have Maggie Walt as one of our very own Edmonton designers.

Pretty shoulder detailing!
The lining is an orangey-nude colour. I love mixing orange and pink (and also, these might have been my only clean pants).

It was a bit of a gong show at Chez Thrifter this morning hence some shots are before work and some are after work. That's right, this post cost me FOUR Pokemon cards. Sheesh.

Let's just forget about this morning...
I was on my own this am, everyone slept in, I had no clean pants and needed to wear pants for work today UG, I couldn’t decide how to style this top because I was hoping to wear a skirt, my son forgot a coat then forgot a jersey for skating, the cat was acting funny… I could go on.  Let’s just forget about this morning…

The lace helped!  I felt pretty and stylish and designer and one-of-a-kind – I felt special in my pretty lace!  I work in preschool and I have three kids of varying degrees of schmear so if I can make it through the day in lace unscathed, I bet you can too!  So if you didn’t try wearing your favourite lace top for everyday today, what are you waiting for?!
