Since some of you might still have some green, er, juice flowing through your veins from yesterday, I thought I might share what I wore to celebrate March’s holiday – besides Pinspired March, St. Patrick’s Day is the only good thing going this month!  Now, this leads me to a confession: I can’t always wear my Pinspired March outfits exactly the way I copy them.  For example, I feel naked without a necklace and most of the Pinterest looks I copy are necklace-less.  It’s very sad.  Or, the models seem to wear nude stilettos all the time which I consider to be sitting shoes not wearing shoes.  In any case, I had TWO “Green Days” at work and then the actual lucky day itself so I had a very green week!

First up, a green blouse… “If I’m holding something small enough to clutch, it’s going to be a chocolate bar.”

Actually, this outfit was pretty comfortable.  I wore it as is but resisted eating  my “clutch” (till lunch).

Navy joggers $4.20, green blouse $4.20, vintage green suede booties $14.25, vintage necklace $10, and gifted but thrifted mustard cardi.

Next day, I broke out the green pants which I LOVE.

Just two girls lounging around in our green pants and blue heels 💚💙💚💙(in an uncomfortable position and bad lighting, at least for one of us.)

IRL I ditched my $2.50 suede Sacha London slingbacks, added a cardi and practiced wearing my yellow Salt Water sandals to see if I could manage them for a whole day.  (I want to pack them for my Spring Break getaway!)

My green pants were $4.80 and my yellow-print top was $3. The wool cardi is Eileen Fisher, consigned for $30 if I recall correctly.

And on St. Patrick’s Day, I wore a green dress and wished I had auburn hair and an Irish accent.

I’m not much for green beer but I sure love green dresses! Hope this day brings you something you love in green! Happy St Patrick’s Day!! 🍀🍀🍀

And for real life, TIGHTS AND BOOTS because March is still winter in Canada, and a necklace because PUT ON A DAMN NECKLACE.

$5.60 dress, tights from my closet, Aquatalia boots and my fave necklace ever by She Does Create.

So let this be a lesson for us all: Pinterest is for inspiration, not exact duplicates!  It is okay and in fact preferable to take a pinned look and put your own spin on it.  That’s how the art of style is expressed!  (Though exact replicas are pretty darn amusing so don’t miss the rest of Pinspired March which will include a change ‘o scenery – stay tuned!)
