I have a confession to make. I tried something new on Tuesday and I discovered I like it. It’s true: I like it knotty. Real knotty.

I have another confession to make. I didn’t think I was going to like it! I thought tying a knot in your tee was some trendy fashion bloggery thing that just wouldn’t translate to an older wider audience… I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Sometimes you just don’t want to deal with a full tuck but if you leave your tee loose, you lose your shape. The knotty tee is the perfect compromise.

My colour palette didn’t hurt matters! Mustard and mint with a touch of coral – swoon!

This isn’t the first time I have worn mustard with mint or mustard with coral, but this combo hasn’t been on my mind lately. Sometimes you can’t run from your instincts. My instincts told me to wear these earrings…
And then when I was reviewing Pinterest, I found this as a colour palette example:

If you’ve been following my recent thrift hauls, you know I have been collecting t-shirts for this period of post-op life. This isn’t going to be a season of flat abs or work wear, but I don’t want to look schleppy. The knotted tee solves that – I can be casual but put together and also comfortable.

Did YOU give the knotted tee a try? How did you like it?!
