This week’s Tuesday Try – wear a light coloured blazer – was purely selfish.  Sorry.  I have this light blue-grey Ann Taylor blazer that I scored for $5 at Goodwill while on vacation in Montana in 2014 and I’ve only worn it twice…

That’s pretty sad when you think about how much I love blazers.  I don’t know if it’s the colour or the style or what, but I figured the Spark or Swap trial would help me figure it out!  After pinning a million light-blazer outfits on the Tuesday Try Pinterest board, it seemed like wearing a light blazer with other light pieces was the way to go…

The usual "no-fail" fashion formula short over long over skinny did NOT work with this blazer. Now what?!

Since the waist line is tailored and defined, I decided I needed to wear this blazer with either a skirt and tucked shirt OR over a dress…

Contrary to how it appears, this blazer is not a petite style on a non-petite body; it’s meant to have bracelet length sleeves and a nipped-in waist with peplum-like pleats.

Frankly, this back view OF THE BLAZER is not impressive.

I did get a few compliments on my outfit today so it couldn't have been as bad as I imagined, but nonetheless...

Because of the style, this blazer may work best with dresses and skirts but not pants. I like it with the striped dress.
Are there any other dresses or skirts that can be worn with this blazer? If so, it is definitely a keeper, I would say!

looks cute, but not a keeper
    SWAP it!

I’m going with spark. Like the cut. I always roll up the sleeves of my blazers. Don’t know why, just do. 🙂

I think it looks awesome! Try it with a black skinny belt over it, like you would with a cardi and see if you like it better with more definition.

Honestly I think anything you wear and the outfits you put together look awesome. I wish I had just a fraction of your fashion sense. U0001f615

Also try it with that floral skirt from Plato’s closet U0001f600

Swap. It’s almost good enough but doesn’t quiet it the spot. There’s a reason you’ve only worn it twice in 2 years 🙂

  8. isabelcueto good idea!  I almost wore it with that skirt but wanted something a little easier to wear for my work day!  A good reason to keep it!

Tough one…but going w/ swap…and if only worn twice…bye bye. (By the way I would never let you in my closet…everything would be tossed!! U0001f633)
