We already know I totally blew it this month with “extra” thrifting and swapping, but I haven’t yet shared how I spent my official March budget!  I started March with $51.30 to spend and here’s how it broke down…

My quest for a plain white tee required several trips to the thrift shop over the past few months where I found anything but... until I finally scored this new-with-tags vintage style white v-neck along with a few other solid tees - perfect for all the skirts I can't wait to wear this spring!

Roots rust coloured tee is perfect drapey!

Also scored this interesting blazer for $2! It needed a good wash but otherwise will definitely see two dollars worth of wear in my life!

I heart t-strap sandals and these Bussola ones are super comfy and were only $7 at the sale.

I can't resist mustard anything let alone a perfect condition mustard leather belt for $2.

The sheer panels are surprisingly easy to wear and make this an "elevated" shirt dress!
The last piece I scored at the sale was this lilac dress for $9! So so so pretty!

There’s nothing better than a good thrift sale!  Except perhaps the beauty of small town little thrift stores where I found my next few pieces!

I've also been looking for a sturdier plain black tee and lo and behold found one in a little thrift shop in Lacombe!

Along with these $3 patterned shorts that just happen to be the perfect pairing for all those tees!

And a sturdy cobalt tote in "vegan leather"! Love it and already used it to haul all my books to camp!

My very last purchase, though not my very last temptation, was a $9.10 dress with pockets!

I love the unique style of this dress and the fun print! The label is "Liberty Art Fabrics" which seems appropriate - the dress reminds me of a painting!

Good for you!  I am wondering if you would be willing to photo and share items that you considered buying, and thought you loved, yet left behind.  I think this would help us to learn some ways to leave behind the treasures we find, yet may not spark the joy, or be the best purchases for our financial budget.  Also, it would be interesting to see some of what you think may work for you, then how you logic your way to leave it for someone else’s wardrobe.  Just an idea….thanks for considering it.

  2. Rose by His Grace that is a GREAT idea!  Let me see if I can make it happen in April (sounds like a good excuse to go thrift shopping to me!)
