I have been hunting for a
mustard skirt for AGES and finally found one in February for $8! I couldn’t possibly choose just one pin to copy, so I copied as many mustard skirt styles as I could before my photographer begged for mustard mercy.
This is the pin that started my mustard skirt obsession! I inadvertently pinned it a few times! What a miracle that my mustard skirt also has pockets! Striped tee $3.15.
Short sleeve stripes, long sleeve stripes – they all look great with mustard! What a miracle that my mustard skirt also has belt loops! Top $2.45, belt $3.50, shoes $3, Fossil bag $17.50.
Mustard’s natural partner is ketchup of course! Red Kensie blazer $3.85, Simply Vera Wang top $2.50, Fossil leather belt $6, Miz Mooz shoes $9.80, shell cuff from my collection
Leopard print is a neutral so it goes with everything but looks especially good with mustard! J Crew leopard print top $6.30, nude patent peep toes $13.30, vintage bag $10, belt B.T. (Before Thrifting) and gold cuff from my collection
Hers looks like an ice cream truck and mine is an RV for realz so I think we tied. Lace top gifted but thrifted, Anthro suede ankle boots gifted but thrifted, mint belt $2.80 and gifted necklace.
OF COURSE chambray looks brilliant with mustard! Chambray $6, fan earrings from Plato’s Closet and gifted cuff watch… that doesn’t work. #alwayslate
My girl will always be my baby! She’s the best accessory, though the plain grey tee (Icebreaker, from my closet) looked awesome on its own! Leather sandals $11 and belt B.T.
The best for last! I’m *such* a model. The vintage floral sweater from Goodwill was actually pretty cool with the mustard skirt but the hat, thrifted for a costume, is… ridiculous incongruous. Sperry’s patent loafers $9.80, tights from my closet and black coat B.T.
So there are
and I didn’t even get to replicate all the pins I found! The moral of the story: 8 styles for an $8 skirt you need a mustard skirt, so if you find one thrifted, snatch it up and start playing dress up!
