September is crazy busy. All the routines start up, all the balls go into the air and I start juggling. You’d think this would mean I had no time to thrift but au contraire! It is exactly when I *need* to thrift for stress relief and life balance! At least, that’s what I’m going with because I went over budget AGAIN. But I *had* to and here’s why:

Scored from Salvation Army Thrift Store while waiting for my son to finish jr youth group!I spent last weekend in this $6 Volcom cardi and learned it’s a sporty brand for snowboarders and such, so basically, I’m very rad. (is that even a word anymore?)This dress is Theory! And it was $6. SIX DOLLARS! Here’s me in the Hope Missions Bargain Shoppe fitting rooms, not believing my eyes!Would retail for upwards of $300 at least!And while I was there, I happened upon some smokin hot Stuart Weitzman “clogs” for $8. They look FAB with the dress but alas, they are mainly looking shoes for me right now. #sad (I didn’t even confess to my PT that I bought these!)I did however brag to her about my $10.50 Dansko’s! Not hot no matter how you style them, but super comfortable!$13 Ugg fleece lined clogs for $13!! These retail for about $200!Alia leather shoes for $13.One Hugo Boss dress for $8…And one Calvin Klein dress for $7!!True mustard infinity scarf that I plan to wear with that CK dress, $4.20.$2 black necklace with a vintagey vibe!Embossed leather Fossil bag $21. Used every day since I got it – bags have such great cost per wear!Pink Martini coat $14 – missing a button on the collar but I figure either people won’t notice or I’ll take one off the other side! This is a Modcloth brand and has a total vintage vibe. Coats also get excellent cost-per-wear over time so a worth paying a little more (!) up front!Look how good it looks! I HAD to get it!
Now I did have a GC for the Spruce Grove Sneak Peek Thrift Off! Here is my fancy math calculations (i.e., basic addition and subtraction):

Ummmmm, that’s about $50 over budget (!) HOWEVER, I offset that with my contingency of earned funds, so I’m starting October back at $0! Plus I got several regular priced outerwear items which were relatively “pricey” but will have great cost-per-wear over time AND my cost-per-piece was still well under $10 which is something when you consider the regular retail value of what I purchased, AND I have already worn most of my pieces! I don’t have time to blog them all up, so be sure to follow along on Instagram so you don’t miss any great outfits or other shenanigans! And yes, tomorrow starts a new month and I’m going thrifting!
Well, I find great pieces everywhere – from Value Village to Goodwill to Salvation Army, MCC Thrift and smaller non-profit local thrift stores. I have “thrifting faith” meaning that I believe the right pieces will go to the right person! Thanks for reading!
