Pinspired March is SO MUCH FUN!  I had no idea when I started copying Pinterest outfits 2 years ago, that it would turn into an international phenomenon (*eh hem, some liberties with words here), but I’m glad it did!  Pinterest, the lesser known international phenomenon (!), has become a source of fashion inspiration and women, including me, often tag their photos with #pinneditspinnedit.  Then last March, I connected with Andrea AKA “Keepin It Thrifty” on Instagram and discovered the brilliant hashtag #pinneditthriftedit and have been using it ever since.  Andrea is an avid thrifter and with the help of some thrifted orange Hunter boots, she realized that she could recreate awesome Pinterest outfits with her thrifted wardrobe!!

Obviously, we are kindred spirits!  I love following Andrea’s Keepin It Thrifty feed on Instagram – imagine my delight when she suggested we COLLABORATE!  Yes please.  Or, yes ma’am.  Or yes y’all?  Andrea is from the South and says y’all for real, so basically I want to be her Canadian BFF.  I always wanted a friend that says, “I was raised on Jesus and sweet tea!”  Andrea and I picked an outfit from Pinterest and each recreated it with thrifted pieces…

Me and my girls, Oliva and Andrea. We hang out all the time wearing the same thing.

When you thrift clothing, you lose the advantage of seeing pieces on a mannequin or in a catalog, but Pinterest makes that irrelevant!  You can find styling pinspiration for any piece, and even if you can’t create an exact outfit copy, you can interpret Pinterest looks.  It makes everyday fashion FUN!

Fashion is very fun and serious at all times.

I wouldn't have thought to put gold accessories with this outfit without Olivia's inspiration, y'all.

Andrea, thank you for this little gift of a hashtag that brings so much joy to your fellow thrifting sisters!  When can we go thrifting?!  I was raised on Jesus and toques and snow in March (and April… and May…), but clearly there’s enough common ground between us that we would have a fantastic time!
