I love thrifting at the local PennyWise Resale Stores but had missed this particular location because it doesn’t show up on my map app when I search for PennyWise! Fortunately, I went straight to the source (the website) and found the NEAREST location to me for my sister and I to enjoy!!
Pennywise was actually our last thrift stop but due to the magic of production, you’re seeing it second-to-last! (I don’t know why that feels like a confession!)
I always love thrift shops that put effort into merchandising and display! We need that in order for second hand shopping to replace fast fashion consumerism!

This simple silk top actually looks better in the photo than in person. In retrospect, I should have got it as a nice neutral. Oh well.
My name is Nicole and I have literally had dreams that I thrifted all the coats. #addictedtocoats (is that a thing) I loved this one but left it behind. I didn’t know at the time that Houston would go through an extended coat-necessitating weather spell!!
I bought this green print wrap dress for $6 though and haven’t had a chance to wear it because the aforementioned FREEZING weather! (for Texas)
I so wanted to buy this just so I could have it for the future day when I *need* a sequinned and bejeweled silk bomber jacket. I think that’s anti-Konmari right there.
Loved this little painting but hated the plastic frame. I’m on the hunt for something to go in my entryway and infuse a little colour! And before you suggest that I buy it and just change the frame, know that I have lived FOR YEARS with stock photos in frames because I just never get around to changing them. I know me.
That’s all I scored for this stop at Pennywise but now that I know there’s a closer location, I’ll stop by more often! In particular, I’d like to go on Thursday and take advantage of their Thursday bag sale… because I’m fresh out. 😉
