After exploring style personalities in the past year, I pretty well know I’m not exactly “boho” yet when I came across local kimono designer, Breanna of Leopard Please, I fell in love with the ladylike, flowy kimonos and couldn’t wait to get my hands on one (as evidenced by my regular harassment inquiries on Instagram)!  Breanna has a side gig of being a full-time elementary school teacher so she wasn’t able to drop everything and make me a kimono that instant – the nerve – but when she posted new ones in her Esty shop, I snatched one up within hours (I am known for my patience in such matters).  Naturally I turned to Pinterest for styling ideas and issued the kimono call for this week’s Tuesday Try!

Kimono thinking pose. 🎎 (where is her other arm??!!) And with this I am giving an extra early announcement!!! The #TuesdayTry for March 29th is: ROCK A KIMONO!! Don’t have one? Well I got this gorgeous kimono from @leopardplease – great price, so versatile, and locally handmade!! 💛💛💛💛 Order now to get yours in time for the 29th!! #pinspiredmarch #pinneditthriftedit #shoplocal #kimono Also JBrand denim $4, olive tee $2, gifted but thrifted Anthro suede booties and the perfect kimono pendant by @shedoescreate (if you don’t have at least one, better get that too while you’re at it!) 🌼🌸

I love this particular kimono because it’s stripey – which makes it a little bit boho but a little bit me – and I was excited to wear it again today!

This time with my yellow tee $4, denim $4.90, Miz Mooz shoes $9.80, Matt&Nat bag $9.10, earrings $3 and necklace $4.

I'm on Spring Break so denim and a simple tee were the obvious pairings! I think the cat approves, or maybe he's just wondering why I'm not at work.

Of course, this particular outfit was inspired by Pinterest since we are still in March!

My son: "Wow Mom, that's pretty much the same outfit." Why yes, dear, thanks for noticing.

It was a nice spring day and even though the kimono is light and airy, it was a warm enough outer layer.

I am truly inspired to try some different styles with my kimonowith a statement tee, over a dress, with some complementary patterns and maybe even with distressed denim shorts if I’m really feeling festival-y!  How did YOU wear YOUR kimono today?!  Don’t have one?  You know what to do…
