For non-Texans, “College Station” doesn’t sound like the name of a real place, but to Texans, it’s the beloved home of Texas A & M University which means COLLEGE FOOTBALL! The all-caps are for my Texan friends; we went there for hockey recently and while we in town, I browsed a couple local thrift shops!

College Station is northwest of Houston, about an hour and a half away from Katy so it’s totally doable to plan a day trip for some sports and thrifting! I did not fully explore the city’s thrift offerings – we had a game to get to after all – but I managed to hit two little thrift stores.
Alice’s Attic Thrift Store in College Station

Alice’s Attic is a non-profit little thrift shop and has all the fixin’s that us thrift hunters love! Housewares, furniture, clothing, shoes, and interesting decor!

As with most little thrift shops, the prices were great with most items between $3 – $7 and designer or fancy pieces a bit higher and the proceeds of sales go to local missions. Alice’s Attic is well worth a stop the next time you’re in College Station!
Sweet Repeat Resale In College Station
Next up, we drove around the corner and stopped in at Sweet Repeat Resale which was… an interesting experience.

The store was jam packed with clothes and other treasures and…

The owner of Sweet Repeat was very friendly and the prices were great! For a buck a piece, I scored a NWT Old Navy tee (but neglected to get a photo) and a summer Umgee top for my sister that I *thought* would have lured her here by now!

What I liked best about Sweet Repeat was seeing a small business owner doing her thing, making a go of her passion. That’s reason enough for me to shop there and I will surely stop in next time I go to College Station.
I could have gone to Goodwill or a bigger chain second hand store, but I’m so glad I explored little thrift stores instead! It gives you such a good feel for a community and is always interesting! If you are from College Station or have visited, which thrift store should I visit next time?!

Cute stores, and they look SOOOO Texan! Nice finds, too! I would’ve been tempted by that hat display. 🙂 I like finding the quirky little original stores, too, especially when the owner seems to have tastes similar to mine — they can be like little treasure troves!
They really do have the Texan vibe! I wish I had had more time in those stores and I agree wholeheartedly – little thrift stores have so much character!
Just wondering if you have any mens shoe’s in store and what size. I am a 43. Size uk9
Kind regards Russell
If you read the post, you’ll see it’s a review of a thrift store in Texas. I don’t sell clothing on this site.
