Nothing can compare to thrifted Salvatore Ferragamo shoes for $7, but that didn’t stop me from looking in every thrift store my husband would stop at I came across on vacation for potential thrifting scores!  My intended little thrift destination was the Kelowna MCC Thrift Shop where my friend Sydney is working for the summer!

It was so nice to see Sydney and have a good laugh over one of my fitting room attempts…

Vintage culottes that had potential but also had a pleat right in the crotch area. No one wants a vagina-pleat.

I don't know why I tried on pants on vacation. Just say no to pants.

Though I didn't find any other clothing items, I did find these El Naturalista slides for $7 and I can't wait for the swelling in my post-op foot to go down enough for me to actually slide into them!

While I was busy looking through the racks, my kids did their thang.

“Honey, have we got room for a pink chair in the trailer?” FINE (but MCC Thrift Stores often have great furniture, just FYI)

We left with more games, toys and sports equipment and crossed the street to the Kelowna Salvation Army Thrift Store which was anything but little!  We were running out of time so I scanned the racks quickly and hit the fitting rooms…

Another vintage midi skirt with pockets, sighhhh, I loved it but left it behind!

Orange skirt with a detachable belt... so very 80s with so little stretch so I left it behind.

There was a great $1 rack and I so wanted to find something! I thought this top had potential with its interesting buttons but instead I looked like a monk. Pass.

Within minutes of closing, I found something special! This $7 Jack dress is SO pretty! It's a smidge tight in the bust but if I cut out marshmallows, it should fit soon enough.

Also scored this green woven bag for my sis!
Also scored this green woven bag for my sis!  My husband photo-bomber was pretty happy about hauling back delicate thrifted gifts along with our 75 board games.

Alas, this was the conclusion of my Kelowna thrifting adventures!  There were more to be explored, but mama had to get to the wine tours!  It’s all about balance!!  (Stay tuned for one more edition of Vacation Thrifting!)
