I’m not sure if I’m “maturing” or what (probably not), but my wardrobe seems to be stabilizing (believe it or not).  Though there’s still ebb and flow, there are more pieces that spark joy and have longevity in my wardrobe than ever before.  I’m building a quality wardrobe that reflects my personal style, and that’s a good thing.  The flip side is that I have to work harder to find decent “styles per cost” out of my pieces and ensure they get enough wear to keep them sparking joy!  Hence my focus for February – Ways to Wear It!  I’ll be taking some new and old pieces and exploring different ways to wear them.  First up, the gorgeous Anthro brand One September blushy-mauvey sweater that I scored for $8

I found this exact piece TONIGHT at Anthropologie in the sale rack for $50!!

This piece is so pretty it needs nothing to look good but I’m TRYING to find different ways to wear it, so I set out and found 4 different outfits before my kids refused to take any more photos.  I could call my looks “work, play and date night” but let’s be real here.  In my world, there’s not much difference between these categories.  I don’t generally wear jeans to work, true, but I also don’t dress up for my (once a year) date.  Instead, I’ll call these looks casual, work-appropriate and fancy – relative terms!

And here’s another work look because I always want to pair this colour with olive…

The background of this shot kills me. Summer lawn chair, firewood, sleds, our Christmas tree, a forlorn basketball hoop. And me standing in front of it all smiling and freezing. This could be a story starter!

Just as I suspected, even simple sweaters can be styled in many ways!  Now, I don’t ask for comments often but I sure am curious – what piece(s) would YOU like to see styled in different ways?!!  Let me know in the comments below or Tweet me , tag me on Instragram or send me a pigeon.  Let’s have some fun this February!

I’d love to see a graphic tee, boyfriend jeans, circle skirt or maxi dress. These are some of my go to pieces and I’d love to see different ways to style them.

Such a gorgeous sweater! I love it with the olive pants best – such a perfect colour combination! Hmmm…well, I know how much you love yoga pants, so that might be one to try styling!!U0001f609U0001f609U0001f609 Just kidding!! I like the idea of maxi dresses, too. I pretty much wear them two ways – alone or with a jean jacket. U0001f60a
