This week has been a whirlwind.  The Closet Minimalism Game is going well and, day-by-day, my closet is getting lighter… (er, that is until I went thrifting this weekend – confessions coming soon :D).  I had some good outfits this week though and not everything made it onto Instagram, so here’s a little week in review in case you’re interested.

Here were my "core" pieces for the week: $11 chambray pants, $5.60 Hugo Boss blazer, Sandwich blouse, Eileen Fisher black hooded sweater, Pilcro cord leggings.

This was my Monday morning casual outfit for a day of PD with my piece: $11 chambray pants with $7 Alice sweatshirt, $5 patent loafers, $10 Eddie Bauer coat and $3.50 scarf…. I can’t wait for the time change this weekend so I can have some better morning light! ☀️
Tuesday's ensemble: Don't worry, none of these pieces are in the purge pile! Tuesday's was full of keepers: $4.20 chambray, $4.20 mustard scarf, $15 Blondo leather boots and Pilcro legging cords from @redpony109!

Hugo Boss Blazer

Rather than try to work with the crappy-light-before-work shots, I snapped one at the end of the day with Puddles. If you don't follow me on Instagram, you don't know the story of Puddles. How sad.

By Thursday afternoon, the day was balmy. That's Alberta for you. So I decided to wear my Eileen Fisher sweater as outerwear and wore this as my base outfit.
By Thursday afternoon, the day was balmy. That’s Alberta for ya. So I decided to wear my Eileen Fisher sweater as outerwear on Friday and wore this as my base outfit for a day of casual work duties.
When I put on the sweater, my daughter told me I look like a death eater. Sigh.

It ended up being perfect for another warm day!

Nothing too earth shattering, and thank goodness the time changes tonight because a) I desperately need a bit more sleep and b) the mornings should be light again, granting us a reprieve from all these crappy shots.  #notaphotographer #notamodel   With any luck, I’ll share my weekend thrifting tomorrow including one of my BEST SCORES EVER – maybe even THE best!  Stay tuned!

  1. Love Wednesday ‘s outfit, the scarf just takes it to another level. Also I’m dying from your Puddles tease – I’m going to have to try out that marketing technique, only my cat only has one eye so the cuteness factor will be somewhat less 🙂
