For nuts, I used slivered almonds because that's all I had they go well with lemons.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey

Spread goat cheese in small oven-proof dish, sprinkle generously with coarse salt and pepper, drizzle generously with honey.

Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees until starting to get golden.

  • 1-2 tbsp slivered almonds - I used 2 but I like chunky dips full of texture. Use less if you like. YOU DO YOU.
  • 3-4 slices candied lemon, chopped finely. As with the almonds, adjust to your preferences.

Sprinkle almonds and chopped candied lemon on top of goat cheese.

Turn oven to broil and broil for 3-5 minutes until everything is golden.

  • 1/2 baguette sliced and buttered

Pop these into the oven when you go to broil your goat cheese then everything will be nice and toasty at the same time.

Share or eat it all yourself. That's what an appetizer is for, isn't it?
