Though Monday is ancient history by now, I hope I was not alone in giving the “Ladylike Style Personality” a try! Ladylike style is characterized by feminine prints and silhouettes – think nipped in waists that manage to show off your curves without being too obvious about it. Pretty dresses, midi skirts, pumps, bows, lace and sequins all fit the bill! After doing some Pinterest research, I realized that I have a fair ladylike representation in my wardrobe! Could this be it?!! Could this be my style personality?!!
Ladylike style is prone to matchy-matchy because it looks pulled-together, just as you’d expect from a lady. Hmmm, maybe I’m this isn’t my style personality after all…
I had an appointment Monday afternoon that called for more formal ladylike style, so I slipped into a pretty dress and my fave wool/silk blazer…
I even wore pantyhose, which I subsequently decided ought to be banned. Everything about pantyhose is wrong! One little hang nail and that’s it, game over. And anyway, what’s wrong with my natural legs, huh?!! I think you can be perfectly ladylike without hosiery.
I like ladylike style because it’s easy dressing. Put on a dress and go, or midi + tee and go. It makes you stand a little taller, smile a little warmer and maybe even ponder making a pie or two…
Ha. I might buy pie, or put on an apron while I eat pie but I don’t see myself making a pie especially while wearing a pretty dress!
Ladylike style might be the closest fit for me yet but still doesn’t quite nail my style accurately! Stay tuned – another style personality will be challenging your fashion sense soon!
