Today’s Monday Style Prompt is all about midi skirts, and it isn’t just for today!  I’m wearing midi skirts all week long and hoping you’ll join me in the midi madness!  A midi skirt, according to my hours of Pinterest research, is any skirt that hits below the knee and above the ankle – you know, in that danger zone we were all taught to avoid: “mid-calf!” Turns out the midi length isn’t dangerous at all!  In fact, it’s very flattering and ladylike, and works on pretty much everyone!  Just perusing the midi skirts on Pinterest makes me excited about getting dressed tomorrow, but first, my Monday midi!

You can see why I *had* to have this light cotton skirt of awesome colours and crochet detailing!

This skirt has a stretchy band at the top... in fact it might be a strapless sundress.

You would think these ought to be sold together given how well they coordinate but no! Different thrift stores altogether. That's why you have to go them all.

BTW, Sandwich is a boutique brand known for comfortable well-tailored pieces with interesting details.

Most Pinterest midis are featured with a fitted top and defined waist.  I just wanted to pretend the stretchy band was a panel and have some cake.  So I did.

So this is how look from my 5yo's perspective...

At thrifted prices, you can take the risk and try the midi trend!  It’s not going anywhere anytime soon!  And remember, this Monday Style Prompt lasts all week long!

It’s not too late to join the midi madness!

I love the crochet detailing on this skirt.  It’s the details that make a piece exciting!  But guess what?!  I do not own a single midi skirt.  So yes, I will have to go shopping soon!! 😉
