Anyone can throw on black pants or jeans but the Colourful Style Personality treats coloured pants like they’re black pants or jeans! It’s that easy. I blogged about it early on when I was trying to convince a special someone that yellow pants are a neutral. Though I think any coloured pants will add style to your wardrobe, in this exploration of “essential” pieces of a colourful wardrobe, I wanted to narrow it down and thusly I do declare that PRIMARY PANTS are absolutely essential for the colourful wardrobe! I’m not talking navy and I’m not talking mustard and I’m not talking burgundy. I’m talking bold blue, bright yellow and poppy red.
I currently have pants in two of the three colours and if I weren’t busy trying to keep my kids alive this weekend, I’d be at the thrift store today looking for red pants. I had red pants…
I loved the colour of these pants, obv, but the fit was not great. They bagged out within 20 minutes and just didn’t spark joy. You know the rest of the story. Now, just like I scan the racks for green shoes and colourful print scarves, I always wander past the pants hunting for red. I can be patient. Sooner or later, I know I will find another pair. Hmmm, apparently my kids still need to work on focusing the camera a bit more! Anyhoo, you get the idea: yellow pants = AWESOME! And now we know:

- the essential pants
