During my sister’s annual January Houston trip, we visited familiar favourite stores and shopped at one new to both of us: St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church Resale Shop, conveniently located right across the street from MAM! There’s room in my thrifting heart for both – no, for ALL – thrift shops and no matter where you thrift it’s the more sustainable choice compared to buying fast fashion! Here’s a peek into St. Christopher’s…

They have all the usual little thrift store offerings, just on a smaller scale compared to the bigger shops. I enjoyed the Book Nook and Man Cave! (apologies to the random strangers caught in the photo)

There were some unique housewares and decor pieces… proving to me yet again that your first stop while shopping for pretty well anything should be at the thrift store.

There was plenty of art work.

So true. 😉

I don’t always see records at thrift stores anyore. My kids wouldn’t even know what these are. Sigh… These reminded me of my new French friend. You know who you are. 😉

Next we hit the clothing section. There was men’s and women’s clothing. There must have been kids’ clothing too but I didn’t pay attention to them! LOL

Little thrift prices tend to be fair and there are often sales! Be sure to check it out before you start shopping!

There was a sale on footwear – $3 boots and $2 shoes! I wanted to want these leather ankle boots but they just accentuated my Sponge Bob Square Pants ankles.

These were Meucci if I recall correctly. I keep finding more fancy pairs than my non-fancy life can handle!

Oh heyyyyyyyy

I did take home these like-new blue Easy Spirit sling backs for $2!!! Easy Spirit is a great brand and I LOVE the retro vibe! I have already worn them more than twice so the cost-per-wear is under a dollar AND THAT IS WHY I THRIFT.

This was too small for me but I immediately filled it with my friend Julie in my imagination and wished she was with me. xoxo

There was a vintage section and an evening wear section – impressive for a little thrift shop!

There were plenty of bags too! I liked this one but didn’t take it home.

Fake but fun. (like my hair colour)

There was a great selection of accessories including scarves and a jewelry counter which I neglected to capture on film! Right below these belts was a dollar bin where I scored an AWESOME navy vintage leather purse in great shape!
Here it is in action with the shoes and I dress I scored at Goodwill which is coming up next in the Sisters Thrift series!

I got this peachy-salmony scarf for $2!

And that is a wrap for St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church Resale Shop! It was definitely worth the stop and is one I will include in my regular thrift shop destinations!

xoxo Nicole
