Let me just say up front: I’m NOT ready for pants.  And I’m not ready for fur anything let alone furry shoes no matter what the fashion mags are saying is trending for Fall.  And I’m not ready for Fall anything.  However, I had to go back to work today after an amazing summer so I had to put on work clothes and do things like blow dry my hair which I haven’t done for 2 months.  Woe is me.  Under such duress, I needed an outfit that brought me comfort and happiness…

Back to Work Outfit
So I wore green, my favourite colour, and grey, my comfort colour with some metallic thrown in for spunk.

What I got goin’ on is a bunch of contrasts, which is why I like the outfit: loose top over fitted skirt; casual tee with brocade blazer; bright green with muted gray, plus some unifying accessories to tie it all together.  But what really made my back to work outfit work was the fact that my outside matched my inside – I felt comfortable, like my clothes matched my vibe.  It’s hard to define but when you hit on it and feel it, true style happens.  Here’s hoping that bodes well for a stylish YEAR of work outfits!
