This red wine sangria recipe is fast and easy to prepare and costs less than $5 when you use my recommended wine! It’s the perfect drink for a summer day!

How to Make Easy Red Wine Sangria
Summer in Houston starts around April and ends around November, temperature wise! That means there are A LOT of sunny, hot days where refreshment isn’t just a wish, it’s a necessity! Enter sangria, the fruity bevvie that refreshes and makes you feel like you’re having a healthy fruit serving!

This red wine *health drink* comes together easily with fridge and bar staples – citrus fruits, simple syrup, some frozen lemonade concentrate plus triple sec, brandy and wine.

The Best Red Wine for Sangria
Sangria is not the time to use your best vino. Au contraire, this recipe is the best for inexpensive red wine. Dry red wine is fine since the fruit, juice and simple syrup add flavour and sweetness. My personal favourite red wine for sangria is the renowned “Two Buck Chuck” from Trader Joe’s!

If you’re cheap frugal like me and/or if you tend to go through a lot of sangria on a summer day or during a party, Trader Joe’s two-dollar wine tastes great in this recipe!

Using inexpensive wine keeps the cost of this red wine sangria affordable. Triple Sec runs around $16 for a huge bottle, brandy is around $12 per bottle, and the remaining ingredients will quickly become pantry staples once you taste this drink! I estimate the entire pitcher will cost you about $5 and will serve 6, more or less depending on how spirited you are, wink wink!
Whip up a pitcher of Easy Red Wine Sangria today, then sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the day!
