In my “day job” (er, only job), I work as a pediatric Occupational Therapist with children in preschool and kindergarten who have special needs. It’s a blast! Yesterday, one kid pointed at my face and said (quite clearly, I might add), “What’s that?” He had noticed my eye shadow and was commenting on it. That kid is a keeper! I have all kinds of fun at work and I love wearing thrifted clothes to work because I’m never concerned about getting down on the floor or mucking around with paint and glue and everything else that comes along with the territory when my pieces usually cost less than a latte. The classes I work in regularly have “colour days” where everyone wears that colour to help the children learn to identify and label colours… I consider these colour days as much a style prompt or fashion challenge as anything else and I love them! There’s something unifying in colour days, like we’re all on the same team! Lucky for me, the day I chose for the “chambray + a full skirt” Tuesday Try happened to blue day! Happy coincidence!
The Tuesday Try prompts are all about exploring personal style. Easy fashion formulas like “chambray + full skirt” really are a God-send to busy women! Did YOU give this a whirl for the Tuesday Try?!
