As much as I hate to admit it, I’m not 41 39 anymore. That means that I check off a different age box and I’m on a different “style in your 40’s” page in the mags… The problem is, I feel the same as I did in my twenties! So when I see cute whimsical prints, there’s no mature-woman-of-forty-plus-years restraint! But sometimes I wonder, am I too old for this? Or, am I too tall for this??! Hence the next piece up for the Spark or Swap debate, my bird print “dress”…
I prefer dresses that can be worn with or without leggings; those that require leggings feel like a one-trick pony…
Why am I always still up when you do these?! U0001f633 I like it! I really like it w/ the jean jacket…and I like the color! Not black, white, grey, tan…some color…yaaaay! You are definitely NOT too old!! Are you kidding me?! I say keep! (And I am a (much) shorter friend but lucky for you I don’t do dresses! Lol!)

The dress is really cute as a tunic top with leggings; looks great on you. Don’t worry if it’s age-appropriate when it looks so good!
Sandra Couture
Keep. Great color on you

I am probably that younger and shorter friend but I’d say its a keeper. You can’t ever be too old for whimsical prints in my opinion. (Plus, look at how happy it makes your dog.) I think you can take the styling further with maybe a maxi skirt and a belt to give it some structure? I tend to cheat and wear my short dresses by tucking them into voluminous maxi skirt or circle skirts so that they’re more travel friendly (Indian public transport isn’t very shorts dress friendly, let me tell you)..and awrite, I’m rambling now so in short, yes spark, no swap!

Supercute! Age appropriateness is just a stupid social concept. Andwho cares if the outfit looks this good and makes you look years younger!!!Def a keeper!!!

Keep it. Although as your older shorter friend I would love it. Sigh….

I say keep! It looks great. I am much older than you and at least as tall as you and I would wear this. In the summer I would wear with short leggings and flip flops or sandals!
Kim Christopher
Keep. Looks great. But if you don’t feel happy in it, toss.

My favorite boss from 25 years ago was a lady who owned a business and she wore whatEVER she wanted. She had so much personal style and flare and charisma. She taught me to wear what I love for as long as I live.

…but if you do decide to donate it tell me when and where because I want to buy the dress! (And I’m 45)

As a tall woman I understand the conundrum. I have many tunics… err … dresses. I’ve worn mine with shorts in the summer too. As for “too old” no such thing, wear what you love, no matter what your age! If it sparks Joy, then the societal box of “too old” can suck it. As a woman over 40 I’m tired of the “too old, too big” age and body shaming that happens waayyyy too often. OK. I’m done with my soap box. U0001f614Keep it, I say (I would!)

You looked so beautiful in it yesterday!! Keep keep keep
