I’ve made some bold claims in the past.  Like, every woman needs a wrap dress.  Well, it’s time to be bold again: every woman needs a shirt dress.  It is with this truth in mind that I chose this week’s Monday Style Prompt, style a shirt dress.  If you don’t have a shirt dress, I hope you went thrifting this weekend and if you didn’t find one, I hope you’ll keep thrifting (you’re welcome in advance for the excuse).  I’m so glad I included a chambray shirt dress in my April ten-item wardrobe because it is so versatile.

I have worn this dress straight up, open over a striped tee and today took inspiration from Pinterest for the wide belt.

So much pinspiration, I might need a couple more shirt dresses!

I had ulterior motives for this outfit…

I love wearing the dress open – much “safer” for working with small children and my base legging/tank layer made for a smoother post-whiplash physio appointment.

I'm sure my PT was impressed by how accessories changed my outfit.

Flats are also good for post-whiplash.

I can’t wait to wear this dress again and might just wear it before the month is over, styled anew!

I just can't quit you, Chambray Shirt Dress.

Yes, you have to shop for the right fit, but once you find a great shirt dress, you’ll agree that every woman needs a shirt dress!
