If you’ve been following along on my road-trip thrift shopping adventures, you’ll know that I have some new clothes burning a hole in my closet (er, you know what I mean).  Like a twelve-year-old, I can hardly wait to wear my new clothes yet I’m still in vacation mode so I don’t feel like wearing makeup or combing my hair or cooking or cleaning or doing laundry or anything really.  So this is just a quick post to ease me back into the habit of getting dressed, sort of…

There’s no simile here.  Maxi dresses are pajamas you wear in public.  There, I said it.

In my mind’s eye, I was wearing cute flip-flops but my only pair of flip-flops was still packed, so I went for flats AKA slippers.  I’m on vacation, so who cares?!!  Wait, I’m not on vacation but I still don’t care.  #summermother  You can make sure people know you’re not wearing pajamas by adding accessories and a bra

I went for my usual accessory trifecta - earrings from my closet, vintage necklace and She Does Create bracelet.

Like pajamas, maxi dresses don’t care if you’re lounging around on a Sunday eating ice cream.  They’re not going to pull out a belt and ruin your day!  No!  They’re forgiving, flattering, cool and comfortable!

You put on a necklace et voila! Appropriate for daytime!
Thanks for being so much like my jammies, Maxi!

Wait, maybe this maxi dress is pajamas?!

I love this! I have a few customers that don’t own one single maxi dress. It really is so easy, effortless and just like yoga pants or PJs.
