I got a bad case of the Valentine’s blues, and by that I mean the cobalt heart blues! I like red and pink for Valentine’s Day as much as the next person (and maybe a little more) but when I came across a perfect-condition heart print top in blue, I fell in love!

Mixing classic patterns (polka dot-ish, florals) always works! This ensemble looks like what other fashiony people call a “brunch” look. Cobalt leather belt $3, Hispanitas shoes $17 and skirt gifted but thrifted.

I actually bought this vintage Christian Dior suit at the same time as the cobalt heart print top and it didn’t dawn on me till I got home that they go great together! Mixing vintage and modern pieces is a great styling trick. The Lauren Conrad top was more expensive than the suit – $9 and $8 respectively!!!! With my $5.50 vintage cobalt leather shoes, ‘natch, and my sapphire pendant.This suit is so beautiful and in perfect condition! There’s one teensy little problem…The teensy little vintage waist! I can’t actually do it up and will never be able to unless I remove a couple ribs. But you can see why I had to have it anyway!It even has POCKETS!! Bestill my heart!!!
