Since some of you might still have some green, er, juice flowing through your veins from yesterday, I thought I might share what I wore to celebrate March’s holiday – besides Pinspired March, St. Patrick’s Day is the only good thing going this month! Now, this leads me to a confession: I can’t always wear my Pinspired March outfits exactly the way I copy them. For example, I feel naked without a necklace and most of the Pinterest looks I copy are necklace-less. It’s very sad. Or, the models seem to wear nude stilettos all the time which I consider to be sitting shoes not wearing shoes. In any case, I had TWO “Green Days” at work and then the actual lucky day itself so I had a very green week!

Actually, this outfit was pretty comfortable. I wore it as is but resisted eating my “clutch” (till lunch).

Next day, I broke out the green pants which I LOVE.

IRL I ditched my $2.50 suede Sacha London slingbacks, added a cardi and practiced wearing my yellow Salt Water sandals to see if I could manage them for a whole day. (I want to pack them for my Spring Break getaway!)

And on St. Patrick’s Day, I wore a green dress and wished I had auburn hair and an Irish accent.

And for real life, TIGHTS AND BOOTS because March is still winter in Canada, and a necklace because PUT ON A DAMN NECKLACE.

So let this be a lesson for us all: Pinterest is for inspiration, not exact duplicates! It is okay and in fact preferable to take a pinned look and put your own spin on it. That’s how the art of style is expressed! (Though exact replicas are pretty darn amusing so don’t miss the rest of Pinspired March which will include a change ‘o scenery – stay tuned!)
