A fab Friday is when you a) finally have a reason to wear a $6 thrifted Theory dress , b) get to see your *longest* friend, c) inadvertently coordinate with said friend, and d) get to go on a date with said coordinated friend, be surrounded by amazing women and hear from an amazing speaker. That’s what I did yesterday and here’s the photo evidence!
$6 wool Theory dress thrifted from Hope Mission Bargain Shoppe worn with gifted but thrifted mustard cardi, $3 multistrand necklace, bracelets by She Does Create and Miz Mooz booties from my Splurge .
The sun was shining down on my styling choices.
This dress is like a blank canvas!
It is susceptible to pulls though – but for $6 I just snipped them off and took my chances. Problem solved. (You’d never do that had you paid the regular retail price! #thriftingrocks)
And here’s my oldest I mean longest friend, Janet! We have been friends since 1998 when we both had forest green pleated cords from Eddie Bauer, and it seems our tendency to dress alike hasn’t wavered in the past 18 years!
My husband thought this was hilarious. #mustardshovel
First stop, wine and a light dinner at Chartier!
My latest favourite, bread with ricotta cheese – even better when shared with a great friend!
And then it was off to Sisterhood Rising at City Life Church . Good food, good women and an inspiring message from Julie Davidson ! (P.S. That’s my friend Taylor who found that grey skirt for me! xoxoxo)
Sisterhood is powerful, and it isn’t a theory! 😉 It is alive and well and thriving across the globe.
Thank you Janet for the perfect Friday night! In sisterhood, Nicole.
