And by “AMAZING” I mean I put on jeans, added a necklace and touched up my eyeliner. But we’ll get to that. First, here is one of my recent thrift finds, a Talbot popover blouse I scored for $6.30 (same as my Charlie Jade silk “dress” if you’re keeping track). Before you start thinking breakfast, a popover blouse just means the buttons go halfway down, thereabouts.
Talbots is a high-quality brand and this blouse was in perfect condition. I love the colours and pattern – exactly what I like to hide my muffin top wear with pants. I styled it for work and couldn’t look more like a school-based OT if I tried.
Since I work in schools, I wear boots to work and then change into my indoor shoes, for realz, just like all the other kids. That’s how I can get away without socks, FYI.
Tonight I went out with my gals to see the local high-school musical production, “The Boyfriend.” Our Splurge sister is the very talented director and it’s always fun to see the impressive teen talent! I wanted to spiff up a bit but didn’t feel like changing entirely…
